Swanwick Murray Roche – What we do for Queensland

Why we support our community

All of our lawyers innately believe in helping people. The fundamental nature of our job means that we provide advice and support people through their troubling and emotionally difficult legal matters. This belief flows through to our firms involvement in our local community.

Head to our Team page to find out more about each of our lawyers respective involvement in the community.

Who we support in our community

As a whole, our law firm is the honorary solicitor for many local clubs and community organisations. This involves our firm being available to give pro bono advice, as and when it is needed. We are the current honorary solicitors for the following organisations (and others not listed):

If your community organisation needs legal support, you are welcome to contact us to find out how we can support you on a pro bono basis. We have a set amount of pro bono hours that we look to deliver each year and we occasionally have capacity to deliver more.

Legal development in Queensland

The lawyers in our firm are all actively involved in Queensland’s leading legal professional societies. We are particularly involved in the Queensland Law Society and Central Queensland Law Association. From making submissions about placement of judicial positions in the region to barracking for amendments to legislation, we strive to make positive improvements
