Katina grew up in Rockhampton and has lived in Yeppoon for almost 20 years. Katina has family and friends throughout the Central Queensland Region and enjoys practicing in her home town. As a lawyer, Katina is known for her straight-forward and clear advice and ability to guide clients through complex legal and emotional matters with empathy and compassion.
Katina is a qualified Independent Children’s Lawyer and Separate Representative which means she is appointed to act for children in the Family Law and Child Protection jurisdictions. Having practiced in these areas for many years Katina is able to assist clients in property settlements, parenting matters, divorce and matters where the Department of Child Safety has become involved.
Katina has significant experience in matrimonial and de-facto property settlements, children’s arrangements, child support and domestic violence. Katina has a particular interest in children’s matters (including complex matters).
Katina has also practiced in the area of criminal law and can assist clients in matters which are before the Courts including traffic and licencing matters.
As an appointed member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal, Katina has a capacity to assist clients with Mental Health Issues including those who find themselves in the Criminal Law arena.
